How do calls with the family work?

How do calls with the family work?

Your parents or grandparents call you by voice or at the press of a button. You call them through the Amara Family App. During a call, you can turn on the camera.

Calling from the tablet

  • By voice: press the voice button on the dock and say “Call Anna.” The screen then shows “Call Anna”. Say “Yes”, and the call goes through.
  • By button: press the call button on the dock, or tap “Call” on the home screen and choose the person.

The Amara Family App then rings on your phone. To hang up, tap the screen.

Calling the tablet

  1. Open the Amara Family App.
  2. On the home screen, tap “Call” next to your parents or grandparents.
  3. The tablet rings. Your parents or grandparents answer with a tap on the screen or with the call button on the dock.

Who can call?

Everyone who belongs to the family in the Amara Family App. Calls from other numbers don't come through.

You can invite as many family members as you like. That's included in the membership. You don't pay anything for extra family members.
