How do families work in Amara, and how many people can I invite?

As many as you like. The membership covers an unlimited number of family members, at no extra cost.

How a family works

Each tablet belongs to one family. Everyone in it has the Amara Family App on their phone. That's how you call, send photos and messages, and stay in touch. Who can do what is in What roles are there in the family?

Inviting someone

The family admin can send invites.

  1. Open the Amara Family App.
  2. On the home screen, in the “Members” card at the bottom, tap “Invite”.
  3. Enter the person's first name and tap “Invite now”.
  4. Share the link, for example by WhatsApp, email or text message.
  5. The invited person opens the link, downloads the Amara Family App and creates an account. The code is already filled in.

Each link works for one person. If it has expired, just send a new one.

Who can join?

Anyone your parents or grandparents would like to have around: siblings, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends and neighbors too.

Do your parents or grandparents live together?

Then they both use the same tablet and belong to the same family. One membership is enough.

Do your parents or grandparents live in separate homes?

Then each of them needs their own tablet and their own membership. In the app, these are two families. An account always belongs to exactly one family.
