Who sees what? Your data with Amara

What your parents or grandparents talk about with Amara stays with them. In the Amara Family App, you see as a family what you share with each other.

What everyone in the family sees

• the photo album with the photos you share
• the family chat and voice messages
• appointments
• the daily smiley: if your parents or grandparents agree, Amara asks them once a day how they're doing. They tap one of five smileys, and the family sees that smiley.
• when you last talked to each other

What only the family admin sees

• reminders
• the settings for your parents or grandparents
• whether the tablet is online

What stays with your parents or grandparents

• their conversations with Amara. No one in the family sees them.

Your data

• Your data is stored in the EU.
• Amara follows the GDPR, the EU's data protection law.
• We don't sell data to third parties.
• Deleting data: family members delete their own account in the Amara Family App. For the senior's data, email us at support@amara.app.
