How do I connect the tablet to Wi-Fi?

With the internet option, the tablet goes online through its built-in SIM card. Without it, the tablet needs Wi-Fi. If you'd like to use Wi-Fi, you need the network name and the password. Both are usually on a sticker on the router.

How it works

On the tablet:

  1. Tap the gear icon in the top right.
  2. Tap “Device setup”, then “Internet” and “Change”.
  3. Choose your parents' or grandparents' Wi-Fi network from the list.
  4. Enter the password. It's case-sensitive.
  5. Confirm. After a few seconds, the tablet is connected.

The Wi-Fi network doesn't show up?

  • Move the tablet closer to the router.
  • Restart the router: unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in.

The password doesn't work?

Check each character one by one. The number 0 and the letter O often look alike.

Good to know

The tablet works with Wi-Fi on both the 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz band.

Wi-Fi networks with a login page, like in hotels or clinics, work too. For these, the tablet shows “Log in to the Wi-Fi”.
