The app won't open or closes by itself

The app won't open or closes by itself

Most of the time, closing the app fully and opening it again sorts this. If that doesn't do it, work through these in order.

  1. Switch your phone off, then on again. A proper restart clears most small problems.
  2. Check for an update to Amara. There may be a newer version — there's a short guide in "Keeping Amara up to date".
  3. As a last resort, delete Amara and download it again. Before you do this, message us here in the chat — we'll check everything's saved first and talk you through it.

Good to know

Your subscription is safe — it's held through your App Store or Google Play, not on the phone itself, so reinstalling won't affect it. If you do reinstall, you sign back in the same way you set Amara up.
