I can't hear any sound from Amara
Most of the time the volume is just turned down. Press the upper volume button on the side of your phone a few times, while Amara is open, until the sound is nice and clear. If you still can't hear anything, work through these in order.
- Check your phone isn't on silent. On many iPhones there's a small switch on the top-left edge — if you can see a bit of orange, slide it back. On newer iPhones and on iPads there's no switch; instead, swipe to open the Control Centre and tap the bell or silent-mode button so it's off.
- Turn off "Do Not Disturb" (sometimes called "Focus") if it's on. It can quieten sounds without you realising.
- Check for connected headphones or speakers. If anything's paired by Bluetooth, the sound may be playing through that instead. Turn Bluetooth off for a moment and try again.
- Close Amara and open it again.
Good to know
The exact wording can vary a little depending on your phone. Look for Volume, Silent mode, Do Not Disturb and Bluetooth.
