A day with Amara
Amara is with Grandma throughout the day, every day
An ordinary Tuesday — independent and connected. It’s the little moments that count.
The day begins with a voice
“Good morning, Maria. Sunny, 18 degrees.” Grandma listens to the news, then her favourite station. No tech stress.
“Good morning, Maria, did you sleep well?”
“Amara, play my station.”
“Maria, remember your medication!”
08:15Stay curious and active
A quiz, a film, a look through the album. Amara keeps her company. Conversations, stories, games and little discoveries that brighten the day.
“Amara, can we do some exercises?”
“Amara, I fancy a game of Sudoku.”
“Great! That’s 7 out of 8 correct answers.”
11:30A hello from the family
You send a photo from the playground. Amara shows it to Grandma, in the photo frame and family album. A little piece of your day reaches her.
“You’ve received a new photo from Julia.”
“Amara, keep playing my podcast.”
“Maria, remember to drink some water.”
16:05The whole family at one table
In the evening, Grandma sees you and the grandchildren. You talk about your day, cook together and wind down.
“Amara, call Julia.”
“What a lovely day. Looking forward to tomorrow.”
“Amara, send my grandchildren a goodnight message.”

FAQ
What families ask us.
What happens after I sign up?
You’ll get an email as soon as the new Amara Home starts shipping. Shipping begins in December. There’s nothing else you need to do.
Does my grandma need a smartphone or Wi-Fi?
No. Amara Home is its own device and arrives ready to use. Wi-Fi is enough, and we also offer built-in SIM cards as an alternative.
What if she doesn’t want it?
Then there’s no pressure. Amara introduces itself when it’s plugged in, then waits. Most people start because a first photo of the grandchildren arrives, not because someone has explained it to them.
Is Amara always listening?
No, Amara responds to the talk button or to “Amara”. Conversations are never shared, not even with the family.

About us
Why Amara exists
We started Amara because we want older people to take part in family life as a matter of course, and to follow their curiosity. To call on their own, put on a favourite station, ask a question, without having to ask anyone to explain the technology.
What began as a personal experience in our own family became our shared work. In Berlin we build Amara together with older people, from day one. We listen, we try things out and we learn. For more independence in everyday life and more closeness in the hours between visits.

Give Grandma Amara.
