Can I set up Amara if I'm not there?

Yes. There's nothing to set up anyway: the tablet arrives already connected to your Amara Family App. Someone there just needs to unpack it, put the tablet in the dock and plug it in. If you use Wi-Fi instead of the internet option, that person also enters the Wi-Fi password on the tablet.

What you can do from anywhere

All in the Amara Family App:

• create an account
• personalise Amara for your parents or grandparents
• invite the family

Tip: have Amara Home delivered straight to your parents or grandparents

Then you can talk them through the unpacking over the phone.

To read out over the phone

“Unpack the box. Inside are a tablet and a dock.

Put the tablet in the dock. The port points to the right.

Plug the long cable into the power adapter, the power adapter into the socket and the short cable into the tablet.

Hold down the button on top of the tablet for a few seconds until it starts up.

That's it.”

Nobody can help?

Perhaps a neighbour or a friend can pop round for a moment. Nothing more than unpacking and plugging in is needed.
