Can Amara call for help in an emergency?

Can Amara call for help in an emergency?

No. Amara is not an emergency service and not a personal alarm. In an emergency, always call 112.

What Amara does if someone needs help

  • If Amara notices signs of an emergency during a conversation, Amara advises calling 112. But you can't rely on this.
  • The family doesn't get a message when this happens.
  • Calls through Amara aren't meant for emergencies either. The call screen says so too.

Calling the family

Your parents or grandparents can call a family member by voice at any time. That's handy, but it doesn't replace an emergency call.

Personal alarm

If your parents or grandparents have a personal alarm (Hausnotruf), keep it. Amara doesn't replace it.

Still stuck? Message us in the chat in the Amara Family App or email support@amara.app.
